NOTICE OF ELECTION
CITY OF EUREKA, MO
Notice is hereby given that a General Municipal Election will be held in the City of Eureka on Tuesday, April 2, 2024 to elect the following City Officials:
One Alderperson in Ward No. 1……………………………………………..two (2) year term.
One Alderperson in Ward No. 2……………………………………………. two (2) year term.
One Alderperson in Ward No. 3……………………………………………. two (2) year term.
The opening date for filing by candidates shall be Tuesday, December 5, 2023 at 8:00 a.m., and the closing date shall be Tuesday, December 26, 2023 at 5:00 p.m. Candidates must file for office in-person at the Eureka Public Works Facility (temporary City Hall location while new facility is under construction), 111 North Virginia Avenue between the business hours of 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Before coming to file, you are welcome to call at (636) 938-5233 to ensure the City Clerk or Assistant City Clerk are in the office.
The minimum age is eighteen (18) for an Alderperson position. Candidates must be a citizen of the United States and an inhabitant and resident of the City of Eureka for one (1) year next preceding date of the election. All candidates for office must file an affidavit with the Missouri Department of Revenue that they are not delinquent on State income taxes, personal property taxes, municipal taxes or real property taxes.
The St. Louis County and Jefferson County Election Board will conduct the election and will notify each citizen of their polling place. Only persons registered with the St. Louis County and Jefferson County Election Board will be entitled to vote.
