Mardi Growl Dog Parade
In a vivid display of dogged devotion, pet owners flock to Old Town for the Annual Mardi Growl Dog Parade. Colorful beads and boas, scarves and sweaters, hats and hankies adorn the participants, who bark and sniff their way from street to street dragging their owners with them.
Central Avenue will be alive with music, children’s activities and restaurants serving Mardi Gras cuisine and specialty drinks. Even if you don’t have a dog, you can still come for the parade and activities.
There is a nominal entry fee to participate in the parade. Please contact the Chamber of Commerce for more information.
