TRASH FEE
The 2010 rate under the City's contract with IESI for trash, recycling, yard and bulky waste collection is $21.43.


SANITARY SEWER RATES

Single Family/Multi-Family (based on each apartment unit) Residential Accounts

Within City Limits - $5.00 per month (Base Monthly Rate)

Outside City Limits - $12.00 per month (Base Monthly Rate)

Within and Outside City Limits - $0.50 for each 1,000 gallons of water consumed or fraction thereof over 2,000 gallons as based on winter water consumption based on water usage per the February bill which reflects January water consumption.

Residential accounts having City sewer but no City water shall pay the applicable base monthly rate plus $1.00 times each person in the household (the $1.00 charge is based on the cost of 2,000 additional gallons of water consumption, for each person in a household, in excess of the first 2,000 gallons of water consumption for the entire household).

For those seniors qualifying for participation in the State of Missouri's Circuit Breaker program, rates have not changed.

Commercial/Light Industrial Accounts

Within City Limits - $6.50 per month (Base Monthly Rate)
$0.50 for each 1,000 gallons of water consumed or fraction thereof over 2,000 gallons as based on winter water consumption based on water usage per the February bill which reflects January water consumption.

A special contract shall be negotiated for light industrial plants discharging wastes which are difficult or impossible to break down in an oxygen biodegradable type sewage treatment plant, heavy industrial plants, and commercial and light industrial accounts outside of the City limits or having City sewer but no City water.

CITIZEN TAX ASSISTANCE & BENEFITS
For senior citizens who qualify for the Missouri "Circuit Breaker" Program, free trash service and reduced water and sewer rates can be obtained by furnishing City Hall with a copy of your Form MO-PTC or Form MO-PTS tax return. Please be advised that even those who do not file a tax return may qualify for the "Circuit Breaker" Program. If you need assistance, with the "Circuit Breaker" Program or have tax filing questions, for taxpayers age 60 and older, contact the Route 66 Senior Center at 938-5525.

STREET LIGHTS
If you are aware of a street light that is out in the City, please notify City Hall with the number (located on the pole) and the address so that they may report the outage to AmerenUE.


WATER RATE INFORMATION
Residential Monthly Charges:
For the first 2,000 gallons or fraction thereof:  $6.55 (Minimum charge)
For the next 3,000 gallons or fraction thereof: $1.13 per 1,000 gallons
For the next 5,000 gallons or fraction thereof: $0.94 per 1,000 gallons
For excess over 10,000 gallons or fraction thereof: $2.18 per 1,000 gallons

Commercial/Industrial Monthly Charges:
For the first 2,000 gallons or fraction thereof:  $3.90 (Minimum charge)
For the next 3,000 gallons or fraction thereof: $1.51 per 1,000 gallons
For the next 5,000 gallons or fraction thereof: $1.33 per 1,000 gallons
For excess over 10,000 gallons or fraction thereof: $1.33 per 1,000 gallons

For those qualifying for participation in the State of Missouri's Circuit Breaker program, rates have not changed.
